As a bonus to you, we provide a detailed, kitchen-tested recipe for each of our curries, marinades, rubs, kebabs, spice blends, and sauces on their respective pages.
We add NO artificial ingredients and NO preservatives to any of our spice products. You will need to add salt to taste because we also add NO salt to any of our spices. This is especially beneficial for individuals who are on salt-restricted diets. And “no salt added” means that if you choose to brine any of your meat or seafood, you will not have to worry about having too much salt in your finished dish. Our spice products are best used within 6 months of the date on each jar. They are packaged in high-quality, reusable, plastic jars with convenient wide mouths.
All our spices are sold by volume. A 12-oz. jar of spices equals 24 Tbs (tablespoons). Since 1 oz. equals 2 Tbs, and 1 Tbs equals 3 tsp (teaspoons),
a 4-oz jar equals 1/4 cup a 6-oz jar equals 3/4 cup
an 8-oz jar equals 1 cup a 12-oz jar equals 1-1/2 cups

If you have a recipe which uses Saguaro Shops spices, please send it to us (and a picture if you can) with full preparation and cooking instructions, and we will include it in our Recipes Library. Please give your recipe a title (e.g., Jan’s Curry, Bill’s Kebabs), and please limit your submission to about 500 words and a 500 kB picture. Include your first name, last initial, town/city, and state. E-mail your recipe to firstname.lastname@example.org with “RECIPE - NAME” in the subject line.
